So Rena and I and on a cleanse- time to detox from the holiday and a season of celebrating lots of transitions and accomplishments.What the cleanse consists of: Fruit, Veggies, Tofu, Egg Whites, Protein ShakesWhat is does NOT have: starch, sugar, meat, fish, grains, beans, and alcoholWe are on Day #4. Comments from Rena:”It’s a lot better than day 1! Day 1 and 2 was questionable, day 3 was doable. It’s easier in a way than what I thought a cleanse would be like yet it’s not so easy, ya know? The hardest part is making food for other people. Once I figured out the combinations that worked for me, it wasn’t so bad.I definitely feel better but I battled being hungry in the beginning. I didn’t realize I was suppose to be eating every 3 hours! I do miss meat though. How long are we on this cleanse?”Well we are going to shoot for 2 weeks to start but I think optimally 3-4 is better. It does get easier, I promise. If I can do 40 days of a very strict fast every year for lent, we can handle 21 days. More to come!
